Working with Jim is always a fun time and the results are magical. He is ready to play and flex every creative bone in his body. I need that in a photographer, since every photoshoot for me is an opportunity to get uncomfortable enough to create art.

I have dubbed Jim a “Light Bender,” for his ability to capture light above and below the surface in ways I had not seen before.

If you’re looking for a photographer who listens, is fun, creative, and gives effortless direction look no further and book your session today.

I’ve always loved working with Jim. It’s so rare to find someone willing to jump into an idea with no expectation except to learn and to handle collaboration in the most humble way. That’s what makes me trust Jim and trust is what really makes this creative relationship work. We never knew what we’d find trying underwater photography but it’s certainly something I never expected.

I had no idea the stamina it takes, the release of control it takes, how much you can learn in one session, and how to truly just flow with the water when diving into this style of photography.

Jim has always been so open to learn with me and our underwater adventures are a perfect example of that. It’s always a pleasure to be in the process and see what comes of each new shoot with him!

Shooting with Jim is magical and professional. Modeling underwater is hard work. Especially when it comes to working with props like a fin or fabric. Knowing that I have someone as creative and passionate assisting me to get the best shots makes me feel at ease and excited.

He’s great at giving direction and patient when I need time to breathe in between shots. It’s always a privilege to be captured by his talented eye.

I’ve worked with multiple underwater photographers before and Jim is by far the best!

My experience was absolutely amazing. I’ve worked with Jim in the past and he’s very kind, creative, and so very passionate about his art.

I was a little nervous about shooting underwater, even though I had done hundreds of shoots in the past. He made me feel comfortable, beautiful, and inspired. Jim is extremely talented!

I’m so happy with our results and hope to work with him again in the future. I highly suggest working with him, if you have yet to.

I did an underwater shoot!

Jim was amazing throughout the whole process. He was patient and made  me feel comfortable the entire shoot.

Jim was open to my ideas about what I wanted to wear. I was thrilled with the pictures!

Underwater photography captures the ethereal essence of the human body. It is an environment that allows you and all objects to float and flow. What a gift! The counterbalance is the challenge to hold your breath with grace and ease.

With all of Jim’s knowledge and experience with underwater photography, he creates an environment of trust and collaboration to the arduous process.

And as you can see the results are magic! Thank you Jim!

Working with Jim has been such a rewarding experience, both creatively and personally. Underwater photography is an incredibly difficult and unique art form, but Jim approaches it with so much patience, warmth, flexibility, and understanding. Every shoot genuinely feels like a collaboration! We're creating something together rather than simply trying to get the perfect shot.

As a performer on land but not experienced in the water, I appreciate how comfortable and supported Jim makes me feel throughout the process. Underwater work can be both physically and mentally challenging and requires a lot of trust between photographer and model, and I’ve always felt completely safe, respected, encouraged and understood working with him. I leave every shoot feeling a little more capable, a little more comfortable in front of the camera, and honestly, even more beautiful. The art we’ve created together has been absolutely worth all of the challenges that come with this medium, and I’m so grateful to have Jim not only as a photographer and collaborator, but as a friend.

Working with Michelina as a coach has also made the entire experience so much easier. Watching her work in an observational setting before shooting with Jim prepared me in ways I didn’t even realize at the time and taught me a tremendous amount. She makes everything look effortless, but she has a very unique and specific method behind the scenes, and I truly don’t think I could have achieved what I have without her guidance. She and Jim also have incredible chemistry together, which creates such a smooth and inspiring environment on set.

The first time I shot with Jim was not underwater, but I felt from the moment we met, as if we’ve known each other our whole lives and I couldn’t wait to shoot again, especially after seeing his beautiful underwater images.

It wasn’t my first time shooting underwater but Jim created such a different experience for me. It was educational, fun, and inspiring.

Jim was so understanding of any fears I had and was so kind and patient when I needed to take a few minutes to rest. He had amazing tips and advice and was so encouraging.

It is definitely hard work but so rewarding. Jim is an absolute joy to shoot with.
